Mmatema Moremi is a South African vocally gifted singer best known as the finalist of the 2015 SA Idols season 11.

Here are facts things you didn’t know about Mmatema Moremi:

1. Mmatema Moremi was born in 1992 at Moletlane a village outside Sebetiela in Limpopo.

2. She attended primary schooling at Matshumo Primary School.

3. Mmatema studied for 3 years at Matladi High School before completing her matric at Derek Kobe High School in Lebowakgomo, Limpopo.

4. She enrolled for a degree in Linguistics at the Tshwane University of Technology (TUT) and graduated in 2013.

5. Mmmatema’s role models is gospel music legends, Benjamin Dube and Israel Mosehla.

6. She started singing at the age of 10.

7. Mmatema also known by her fans and friends as “The Mother Of Progress”.

8. She was also a member of the Tshwane Gospel Choir through which she got an opportunity to travel as far as Scotland to perform at the Fringe festival in Edinburgh.

9. She entered the SA Idols competition for the first time in 2013 and then again in 2014 but she was unsuccessful.

10. She won Unisa Music Competitions in the 2011, 2012 and 2013 while she was a student at TUT.
