10 Facts You Didn’t Know About Rapulana Seiphemo

Rapulana Seiphemo is a South African actor and television producer best known as Tau Mogale on SABC1 soap drama Generations: The Legacy and Pheko Mokoena on Muvhango.

Here are facts you didn’t know about Rapulana Seiphemo:

1. Rapulana Seiphemo was born on November 04th, 1967  in Meadowlands, Soweto.

2. He has three brothers and a sister, and is married to Olga Rubeiro.

3. Rapulana studied BA in Theatre Arts at USA in 1991.

4. He was a teacher at Fuba Academy in 1995 before moving on to the Sibikwa Community Theatre Group in 1996.

5. He first appeared on our small screens in 1998 playing the role of Godlieb Mofokeng on SABC3 soap opera Isidingo.

6. He won the 2002 Duku Duku Award in the category Best Actor in a Soapie, for his role of Tau Mogale in Generations.

7. Rapulana had starring role as John Dube in the Oscar-winning movie Tsotsi.

8. Rapulana has directed several stage productions including Athol Fugard’s Master Harold and the Boys (at the Market Theatre in 1998) and Five Past Two at the Sibikwa Community Theatre (1996).

9. Rapulana played a leading role as Lucky Kunene on South African Gangster’s Paradise: Jerusalema.

10. He is the producer of Mzansi Magic’s comedy drama series Bomba and TT.
