Good news for South African film fans! Akin Omotoso’s new feature film Vaya they have wrapped up the movie and is now at the editing stage.
Akin tweeted a photo with a caption: ”And That’s A Wrap! Awesome Cast. Awesome Crew. I Give Thanks To The Most High”.
The movie is about Vaya who grew out of a homeless writers project, which in turn grew out of work on the TV series A Place Called Home, penned by homeless and formerly homeless people’.
The film, which stars several newcomers and several big names – Mary Twala, Sihle Xaba and Warren Masemola among others.
FYI: The 41-year-old Nigerian-born filmmaker and actor, Akin Omotoso is best known as the producer of South African romantic comedy, Tell Me Sweet Something.
The film is expected to premiere in Cinemas country wide later this year.
