Amanda du-Pont was born on June 26th, 1988 in Manzini in Swaziland. Amanda is a Swazi actress, model and television personality best known as Lelo Mthiyane on SABC1 soapie Skeem Saam. She speaks native Swazi and his father is Henry ‘Tum’ du-Pont. Amanda du-Pont was raised in Swaziland but later moved to Mpumalanga in South Africa to complete her high school.

Education

She obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Live Performance from AFDA, the South African School of Motion Picture Medium and Live Performance. In 2012, Amanda du-Pont was awarded a Diploma in Acting by the New York Film Academy in the USA.

Television

She first came to prominence for her sole on SABC 2’s popular soapie, Muvhango as Thabisile Dlamini. Amanda du-Pont co-host the SABC1’s celebrity gossip show, The Real Goboza together with Phat Joe and Sinazo Yolwa. In 2013, she appeared on City Ses’la as Khanyi Mbuli. She also had a role on A Place Called Home as Yolisa, Mzansi Love: Kasi Style as Khalipha, End Game as Suzie, Single Guys as Khuli and Intersexions as Khyanya. She co-hosted Come Duze in 2014 with Lunga Shabalala from Selimathunzi. In 2014, she had a role on SABC1 drama Task Force as Christelle Ndlovu along with Rapulana Seiphemo. She join SABC1 Skeem Saam as Nompumelelo ‘Lelo’ Mthiyane in 2011.
