Bomb voyage to the final season of MythBusters on Discovery Channel

From an early age, our inquisitive minds have always had us asking why and how? With tales about superheroes and movie scenes where bombs wipe out entire cities, one can only take so much. When the line between fact and fiction become blurred, who better to turn to than MythBusters to set the record straight?

The year 2003 saw the launch of the first episode of MythBusters, which later became a worldwide sensation and Discovery Channel’s (DStv 121) longest running series.

Thirteen years and more than 2,900 experiments later, the final curtain call is drawing near for this small screen phenomenon.

Now in its final season, the science-based reality series duo Jamie Hyneman and Adam Savage, who are both special effects designers, will go to the limit testing myths and urban legends to determine their validity.

It goes without saying that they’ve saved the best for last! Hold onto your hats as Jamie and Adam subject the legendary ‘Star Wars’ franchise to scrutiny, once again confronting the dark side of science in a workshop not so far, far away. Plus, they blow up a boat with lots of highly explosives, before building the home-made machine gun from the series finale of ‘Breaking Bad’.

Can Jamie and Adam really do it one last time? Can they possibly blow us away more than they already have? Don’t miss the final season of this beloved docu-series premiering on Discovery Channel (DStv 121) on Wednesday, 29 June at 20:00.
