Cassper Nyovest turns 25


Hip hop rapper, Cassper Nyovest is today turning 25. He was born in Mahikeng, in the North West Province; affectionately known as Bokone-Bophirima.

Nyovest, whose real name is Refiloe Maele Phoolo is a winner of South African Music Award for Best Newcomer, this was a warm reception in the entertainment industry that every newcomer in the industry would dream to have.

His debut album is ”Tsholofelo”, a Tswana name for HOPE, which he released last year on the 18 July during the International Nelson Mandela Day which has reached Platinum. Nyovest’s latest album, Refiloe is his second album to be certified platinum.

Nyovest who started rapping at a young age of 12, dropped out of school at the age of 16 to pursue his musical career, was spotted by Motswako rapper, HHP, who is also a product of Bokone-Bophirima.

HHP featured Nyovest on ”Wamo Tseba Mtho” on his album Dumela.

Nyovest has recently filled The Dome to capacity when he unleashed his breathtaking performance.

Some of his achievements is signing a deal with MTN as brand ambassador  and also partners with AG Mobile.
