Farrell Drew and Uriel Oputa are the latest contestants that were eliminated on Tuesday (April 12) episode of BET’s entertaining reality show Top Actor Africa.
The theme for this week was “Crime Drama”, with the contestants working alongside Kimberley Stark and director Sechaba Morejele as the Director to create an ensemble piece covering different aspects of the crime genre, such as “Crime Scene”, “Crime Lab” and “Courtroom Trial”.
The contestants were fortunate enough to be joined by Hollywood heartthrob Jay Ellis from BET’s “The Game” to mentor the contestants through the challenge.
Commented Uriel, “I’m extremely honoured to have been part of such a great show. It’s a bittersweet feeling to leave so soon, but I am happy to have made it this far. Since I have been on Top Actor Africa I have grown in my craft and the show has taught me to let my guard down. Through my participation in the show I now have courage and drive to pursue endeavours in television production and plus-size modelling.”
Added Farrell, “Top Actor Africa has opened up the doors of opportunity and prosperity. Every inch of knowledge, the tiniest of experiences on set and the people I was surrounded by have allowed me to gloat in happiness, walking away with my head held high, regretting nothing, grateful for the entire journey. I have been moulded so gently through the course of the show and I’m certainly confident it has made me a better actor.”
Still in the battle ring are Alex Khayo (Kenya), Tobechi Nneji (Nigeria), Ifeanyi Dike (Nigeria), Shamilla Miller (South Africa) and Jesse Suntele (South Africa) who remain contenders in this competitive reality series.
FYI: Top Actor Africa is hosted by South African actress Zikhona Sodlaka.
