Khanyi Mbau lands a role on ‘Happiness Is A Four-Letter Word’


Here’s some exciting news for Khanyi Mbau  fans – she got a role as Zaza on a highly anticipated new local romantic-drama film Happiness Is A Four-Letter Word.

The 30-year-old socialite diva, actress and television personality is best known for hosting her own show ‘Katch It With Khanyi‘ on etv.

Khanyi is set to play “the role of the enchanting Zaza, billed as a trophy wife and mother of two, who happens to own a shoe store.”

“Audience can expect international values in terms of production value, the pictures, the quality, and even the writing, the storyline behind it. This is the first of its kind to compete with international movies such as Why Did I Get Married 1 and 2 . A Think Like a Man kind of a film,” Khanyi told Sowetan Live.

Also starring in the new film are Mmabatho Montsho, Renate Stuuman, Tonyani Chirisa, Chris Attoh and Richard Lukunku.

The film is directed by Thabang Moleya and the movie is a screen adaptation of a book written by South African black female author Nozizwe Cynthia Jele.

It is expected to premiere Tuesday, February 09th, on etv at 21:30.
