MTV Video Music Awards – The stars will come out to play

The 2015 MTV Video Music Awards promises to be an unforgettable night of music and moments, at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles, California.

The MTV Video Music Awards will air across Africa on MTV (DStv channel 130) from the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles, on Monday 31 August at 03:00 CAT and 21:00 CAT.  The primetime simulcast takes place on MTV/MTV Base on Monday 31 August at 20:00 CAT (pre-show) and 21:00 CAT (main show).

LIVE PRE-SHOW:

• Pop culture and style icon Kelly Osbourne will host the hour-long 2015 “MTV VMA Red Carpet” live pre-show alongside MTV’s own Sway and “Girl Code Live” stars, Carly Aquilino, Nessa Diab and Nora “Awkwafina” Lum on Monday 31 August at 20:00 CAT, leading into the VMAs at 21:00 CAT.

• Taylor Swift will introduce the world premiere of her new music video, “Wildest Dreams”.

• Nick Jonas is set to turn up the party with a first-time-ever, headlining rendition of his brand-new song, “Levels”, and WALK THE MOON will kick off the pre-show with a highly-anticipated performance of their VMA-nominated smash, “Shut Up and Dance”.

• Adding to the red carpet extravaganza, social media superstar Todrick Hall from MTV’s new series, “Todrick”, will perform customized tributes for all of the “Video of the Year” nominees.

• And, to top it off, fans are sure to get a total case of the “feels” when they catch the red carpet puppies that’ll be sporting some of the most iconic looks from past VMA attendees.  That’s right, live puppies in cute outfits!
