Nomzamo Mbatha was born on 1990 in KwaMashu near Durban, KwaZulu Natal. Nomzamo is a South African actress, model and television personality best known as Khwezi Mbatha on etv Umlilio and Thandeka Zungu on Mzansi Magic, Isibaya.


Nomzamo matriculated at Bechet High School in suburb of Sydenham, Durban. She enrolled at the University of Cape Town to study a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting (BComm Accounting) and left UCT to continue her Accounting studies at the University of South Africa (UNISA).


In 2012, Nomzamo first came to public attention as one of the three finalists of MTV Base VJ Search. Nomzamo landed a big role on Mzansi Magic Isibaya as Thandeka Zungu in 2013. In 2015, She had a starring role on etv telenovela Umlilo as Kwezi Mbatha. Nomzamo is the host of award winning South African reality TV show, Holiday Swap KZN.


In 2015, She landed starring roles on two South African romantic comedy film, The Jakes are Missing as Page Reynolds and  Tell Me Sweat Something as Moratiwa Vokwana.


Nomzamo is the winner of 2015 Feathers Awards ‘Best Styled Female’.
