Pictures: ‘Idols SA’ 2018 auditions in Pretoria

Check out pictures from the “Idols SA” auditions at Pretoria State Theatre in Pretoria, Gauteng this morning, Saturday, 10 February 2018.  Will Idols SA season 14’s winner come from the City of Tshwane?

Check below pictures and profiles of some of the contestant…

Queen Victoria Skosana (29) – Bronkhorstspruit (First in line)

It’s her 4th time entering the idols singing competition.  The mother of three, married for twelve years owns her own catering business.  She is one of the triplets. Her sisters discouraged her from auditioning and if she makes it through she would have prover sisters wrong and herself right.

David Nefdt (23) – Nellmapius

Its David’s 2nd Time entering Idols. He missed director’s cut last year because of work. “This is my year, I’m here to make a change and show gay people that you can also make your dreams come true”

David will be singing Pink – What About Us.

Kagiso “Divalash” Modiselle (29) – Soshanguve

Divalash entered in 2015 but she was not ready. This time around she has been practicing and is ready. I want to see a 29-year-old from Pretoria winning idols. Her audition song is John legend – All Of Me. I saw Paxton and was inspired by her to go after my dreams. She grew up in the tavern environment and was always surrounded by music.  Her mom is her biggest cheerleader.  “I’m known as a DJ but I’m ready to show people I can sing”

Bonginkosi Blessing Jiyane (28) – Pretoria North

He is originally from Mpumalanga and has been staying in Pretoria. Bonginkosi is a Pastor’s kid with 8 siblings. He lost his mom at 21 and it’s his first time entering Idols.  He is a sound technician and mentors the youngsters at church. He wants to give it his all as  he never got a chance to enter given his busy schedule.

Suemari Oosthuizen (16) Pretoria

The 16-year-old from Pretoria is auditioning for the first and accompanied by her number one fan: her dad. She is the only child and spends most of her time horse riding. Suemari also loves drawing. The grade 8 scholar will be singing Celine Dion – Power Of Love.
