Ernie Smith is a South African Multi-award winning jazz musician, born in Wentworth, Durban.

What projects are you currently working on?
Working on the release and promoting my brand new single ‘Wena’ ft KB now available on iTunes.Working on the U.S. Release of my album ‘ Time for Love’.

Who are your musical inspirations?
George Benson, Brandy, Sting and Jonathan Butler.

Which living person do you most admire, and why?
My wife Kissa.She is the most loving,strongest and kindest person I know.

Where would you most like to perform?
The Grammy Awards.

What did you want to be when you were growing up?
A Musician.

What are the five things you can’t live without?
Jesus ,my Wife,my kids,my guitar and my family!

What hidden talents do you have?
I was a gymnast and soccer player in school. Love photography and cooking.

Advice for the up-and-coming musician up there?
Work on your craft everyday and learn as much as you can about what it’s going to take to get you to where you want to go!!!
