‘Royal Pains’ season 8 to premiere on M-Net earlier than expected

It’s Official! The stylish medical drama Royal Pains season eight will come to M-Net earlier than anticipated, on Thursday, May 19, 2016 filling the TBA slot at 20:30.

The series premieres in the U.S. today, Wednesday 18 May, and M-Net channel 101 will broadcast the show a day later. This will be the final season of the popular medical drama, and then the doctor is out.

Royal Pains revolves around Hank Lawson (Mark Feuerstein, What Women Want) a young doctor who used to have it all: thriving surgical career, beautiful girlfriend and a swanky apartment in New York, but, after one fateful decision in the ER, Hank loses it all, and is forced to leave the city- and the life he had-for good.

It’s only when he joins his brother Evan (Paulo Costanzo, Joey) in the comfort and elegance of the Hamptons, that Hank realises his true calling; becoming the on-call doctor for the rich, famous and infamous. Anyone who’s anyone in the Hamptons has a lawyer on retainer.

Now meet the newest accessory–the concierge doctor.

Fans who’ve been following the Lawson brothers will recall the emotional season 7 finale, in which Evan and Paige finally get to meet the baby they’re adopting, but the arrival of the little one comes with a whole new set of tough complications for the happy couple.

And Hank’s love life is not all smooth sailing, as usual: at the end of last season he was forced to confront his former fiancée and finally got closure with his past.

In the eighth and final season premiere of Royal Pains, Hanks gets right back to work treating a hard-headed politician.

The cast includes: Mark Feuerstein (Dr Hank Lawson), Paulo Costanzo (Evan Lawson), Reshma Shetty (Divya Katdare) ,Brooke D’orsay (Paige Collins), Campbell Scott (Boris Von Jurgens-Ratenicz), Ben Shenkman (Dr. Jeremiah Sacani) and Henry Winkler (Eddie R. Lawson).
