SABC3 reveals new line-up for June

What better way to chill out and keep warm than to stay entertained and intrigued than with SABC3. This winter SABC3 will keep you glued to your screens with a blazing line up.

Kick starting our June schedule is the exhilarating 8th season of Strictly Come Dancing South Africa. With more glitz and glamour, an all star Line up of celebrities and professional dancers; this weekly live contest is set to warm up those winter nights for 10 weeks starting Friday June 5th at 19:30.

This June SABC3 will be making a few new changes to its usual line up. From Thursday 18th June the popular lifestyle show Top Billing will be moving to an earlier timeslot of 19:30. This will be followed by Man Cave 2 at 20:30 and an all new season of Charly’s Cake Angels at 21:00.

SABC3’s riveting local drama series High Rollers not only returns to our screens for a brand new season but also as a telenovela. This glamorous and backstabbing world of gambling can now be seen thrice a week, Mondays to Wednesday at 19:30 from June 29. The series is an inter-generational family drama centring on three “brothers” – the Machiavellian casino kingpin David, his flawed and volatile older brother Paul and David’s trusted right-hand man Thato “TT” Mogale – who are divided by their love for money, family and God. From the boardroom to the bedroom, each man plays the hand dealt to him as they navigate a precarious tightrope between loyalty and betrayal.

Due to this new edition our properties on Mondays to Wednesdays will be moved out by half an hour. These shows include the Monday comedy sitcoms, Common Law, The Good Wife and Hostages.

On June 28 at 16:30 Clover Little Big Cook Off brings us another season of their delicious reality television show that blends families with food and a dash of spice. This world-first cooking challenge will pit children and their parents against other food-mad families on national television. These teams will out-cook and out-whisk each other over thirteen weeks of baking, frying and spatula waving action in a bid to become the champions and win fantastic prizes.

Local is always lekker with the new comedy Those Who Can’t returning for season 2 on the 29th of June at 20:00. Those Who Can’t takes you into a little known world: the staff-room of an elite but dysfunctional private school, where the playground and staffroom are hard to tell apart, and the grown-ups are as mature as 12-year-olds.

Staying with June SABC3 will continue to bring you a variety of documentaries including Rehanging The National Gallery, Tsietsi My Hero, Polyamory and Playing the Enemy. Make certain you don’t miss the 2 part foreign variety show Jamiroquai: Live in Verona on June 4 and 11.

Not forgetting our younger viewers, tune into SABC3 on Saturdays and Sundays at 6:00 – 10:00 and discover some wonderful Disney productions’ including Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, Jake And The Never Land Pirates, Imagination Movers, Hannah Montana, Violetta and starting on the 21st is Liv an Maddie.
