SA’s popular artist, Candy Mokoena, affectionately known as Candy Tsa Mandebele wants the story of Limpopo to be told.
This is after artists in Limpopo held a workshop yesterday with the SABC Group Executive, Hlaodi Motsoeneng and MEC for Sport, Arts and Culture, Onicca Moloi.
Limpopo is full of talent in the art industry and most artists including fil-makers, writers and poets; find it hard to penetrate the competitive industry due to funding and lack of exposure.
However, it seems like things are about to change-thanks to the newly-appointed MEC for Sport, Arts and Culture, and Hlaudi Motsoeneng.
Motsoeneng yesterday spoke at length about the vision and mission of the newly-introduced 90% local at the SABC.
He said they want to build studio in Limpopo to assist aspirant artists to record their music, without having to travel to Gauteng Province.
He however urged them to produce quality music.
