Award-winning South African actress and producer, Terry Pheto, will represent South Africa at the International Emmys in New York as a juror at the prestigious ceremony taking place from Saturday, 21 to Monday, 23 November.
The National Film & Video Foundation (NFVF) is recognised as the official representation of South African film industry. therefore it was afforded the status to host judging sessions. Pheto was selected as a juror after a handful of industry members’ profiles were submitted and then confirmed by the International Emmys based on the criteria of having made big strides in her career, as well as having made an impact and contribution to the South African Film and Television Industry.
“I am honoured to be a part of the juror panel for the International Emmys and am grateful to the NFVF for this opportunity to represent my country in the arts” says Pheto.
Pheto’s film, Ayanda is currently been screened in the U.S. in cities such as New York, Los Angeles, Alanta, Baltimore, Philadelphia, Houston, Detroit, Montgomery, Seattle, Calabash, Greensboro and Boston.
