Episode 07 (23/03)
Setrakian, Eph, and Nora formulate a plan to track down the Master using Jim as bait. Eichhorst and Setrakian’s pasts are revealed. At the Luss home, Neeva struggles to protect the children while encountering a mysterious stranger whose help she may not want.
Having gathered at Setrakian’s pawnshop, Eph, Nora and Abraham come to the conclusion that they must kill The Master, which the old pawnbroker assures them will result in ending the spreading plague. Despite Eph’s reluctance but with seemingly no other option, the trio of vampire hunters decides to use their former co-worker Jim Kent as bait, in the hopes he will lead them to Eichorst who, in turn, will lead them to their quarry. In Long Island, as the ravages of the widespread plague become more and more apparent, the Luss family nanny Neeva, her daughter, and the Luss children return to the family’s home to discover Joan Luss fully infected by the plague. As Neeva struggles to protect the children and keep them safe from their infected mother, things look dire until they encounter a mysterious stranger whose help comes at a price that may prove to be too great.
Meanwhile, in the Treblinka concentration camp, a young Abraham uses the knowledge gleaned from his grandmother’s stories to begin a plan to combat the mysterious evil being that is feeding on his fellow prisoners, even as he is forced to use skills learned from his father to unwittingly aid the Nazi Eichorst’s foul plans.
Episode 8 (30/03)
After discovering the potency of ultraviolet light against the strigoi, Setrakian gains a new and unlikely disciple. A quick trip to a Brooklyn convenience store turns into a deadly all-night siege.
Despite their failure in the subway tunnels, the recent encounter with Eichorst results in what appears (at first) to be a minor victory that also yields some much needed intel for Eph, who realizes that ultraviolet light may be a powerful weapon to be used against the strigoi. The team’s search for the potent UV lights leads to gaining a new and unlikely disciple for Setrakian, and a skilled new ally for the team. Meanwhile, as night falls in Brooklyn, what starts out to be a quick trip to stock up on basic supplies turns into a deadly all-night siege for the team who, along with several civilians – one of whom is of particular interest and value – find themselves trapped inside a convenience store as a growing horde of vampires amass outside. Their situation grows direr when it appears the strigoi begin working with intent and purpose, instead of just blindly attacking. And when one of the team becomes infected, it requires the others to resort to emergency measures to ensure their survival.
