Trevor Gumbi replaced DJ Sbu on ‘Friends Like These’


Its Official: Funny man, Trevor Gumbi is the new presenter of ‘Friends Like These’ and made his debut appearance today, Saturday January 09, 2016.

The comedian and voice-over artist is not new to our small screens as he has been featured in the Comedy Central’s animation My Child: Teenage Mutants Azanians and’s Jozi Zoos. Trevor also had a role as Sipho on Mzansi Magic drama series Rockville.

Sbuisiso Leope best known as DJ Sbu left SABC1 long running game show ‘Friends Like These’ after 12 years of being the host.

On his official Facebook account, DJ Sbu posted a statement that read: “I am humbled to have worked with the best in the business of entertainment. I have learnt a lot working with Urban Brew, the BBC and SABC1 to create such a successful game show. It has made my entertainment career a success and made me a household name in the SA Television Industry.”

FYI: The 38-years old Tembisa born, DJ Sbu is a businessman, motivational speaker, and the man behind South African energy drink brand, MoFaya.
