Zee World premiers movies Holiday and Apaharan


Zee World DStv channel logoZee World viewers are in for an action packed line up this weekend as the general entertainment channel premiers two movies that are bound to entertain and excite viewers with a passion for action. Airing on Saturday, 6th June at 21h00 is the 2014 Bollywood action thriller film, Holiday : A Soldier Is Never Off Duty, which was written and directed by A.R. Murugadoss, and produced by Vipul Shah. The film is a remake of the 2012 Tamil film Thuppakki which shared the same director.

The film released on 6 June 2014, becoming the biggest net grosser of the first half of 2014. The film saw famous Bollywood actor, Akshay Kumar nominated for Best Actor in the Film Fare Awards 2015.

This Sunday’s 9pm movie is Apaharan, a 2005 Hindi crime drama directed by Prakash Jha and starring Ajay Devgan and award winning Nana Patekar in the lead roles. Apaharan grossed over 80 million rupees at the Indian box-office till 10 weeks of theatrical run and has received multiple accolades such as 2006 National Film Awards (India) for Best Screenplay and actor Nana Patekar took the Best Villain Award at the 2006 Star Screen and the Filmfare Awards which is one of the oldest film events in India.
